The Swallows have a set uniform which consists of a black leotard, black leggings, jazz shoes, ballet shoes and black teletone tap shoes (optional for now). Children can also order an assortment of black HSOD embroidered items if desired but this is optional. Street dance students have no set uniform, however HSOD embroidered items can also be ordered. Children should come to lesson in appropriate dance wear and street dance students are expected to have black dance shoes/trainers for exams and shows.

Saturday 31st January 2026- Swallows Grade 3 Contemporary
Saturday 7th February 2026- Swallows Silver Gym Medal/ Condors Bronze Street Exam

Please note that all children under secondary school age will need to be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their allocated time. Please remember that all changing areas must remain female only and will be in rooms 1 and 2. All students should arrive ready with hair and make up complete. Food and refreshments will be available on the day.
Saturday 31st January 2026 – Swallows grade 3 contemporary
Please note that as this is a grade, there will be an extra rehearsal on Friday 30th January 2026. Attendance to this is very important to ensure students are ready for the exam.
Attendance times for Friday 30th January are as follows:
Lara, Lily, Erin, Ariana, Melissa – 5.30pm – 6pm
Ayda, Emma, Sia, Elizabeth, Alexandra – 6pm – 6.30pm
Rebeka, Dahlia, Naomi, Emily, Aiyla – 6.30pm – 7pm
Aylin, Amelia, Daniella, Sophie, Evie – 7pm – 7.30pm
For the exam the students will need to wear their black leggings and leotard with black socks and jazz shoes. Hair should be in 2 plaits (Normal or French) and natural makeup can be worn if desired.
Attendance times for the exam day are as follows:
Lara, Lily, Erin, Ariana, Melissa – 8.30am – 9.30am
Ayda, Emma, Sia, Elizabeth, Alexandra – 10am – 11am
Rebeka, Dahlia, Naomi, Emily, Aiyla – 12.10pm – 1.10pm
Aylin, Amelia, Daniella, Sophie, Evie – 2.50pm – 3.50pm
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO NORMAL LESSON ON THIS DAY.
Saturday 7th February 2026 – Swallows Gym exam
All students will receive a costume for this exam and they should arrive ready. Their hair should be in 2 plaits (normal or french) and makeup can be worn. This exam should be danced in bare foot/jazz shoes. Costumes should be taken home, washed and returned on the following lesson.
Attendance times for the gym exam are as follows:
Naomi, Alexandra and Dahlia – 10.40am – 11.30am
Daniella, Sophie and Amelia – 11.10am – 12pm
Erin, Lara and Ariana – 11.30am – 12.15pm
Melissa, Ayda, Sia and Emma – 11.45am – 12.30pm

All students will receive a costume for this exam and they should arrive ready. Their hair should be in 2 plaits (normal or french) and makeup can be worn. This exam should be danced in black dance shoes/jazz shoes. Costumes should be taken home, washed and returned on the following lesson.
Attendance times for the street exam are as follows:
Aylin, Arte, Dahlia, Naomi and Rebeka – 2.10pm – 3pm
Elizabeth, Melissa, Ayda and Emily – 2.15pm – 3pm
Amelia, Daniella, Evie, Sophie, Lily, Erin, Sia, Ariana and Lara – 2.30pm – 3.15pm

Saturday 20th December 2025
The annual Christmas showcase is a relaxed event and a chance for family and friends to see some of the class and exam work that is not displayed in our summer show.
All students should wear their normal uniform and bring all their dance shoes with them. If applicable, all students should arrive in their tap shoes or Pointe shoes. Christmas accessories can be worn if desired. Tickets for audience members are purchased at the door on a first come first serve basis, please bring cash with you to pay for your entry. Prices of tickets are £3 for adults and £1 for children.
Please note there are NO normal lessons on this day and please only attend for your allocated showcase time. All students should arrive 15 minutes before their allocated time. All showcases will be between 45 minutes – 1 hour long. Please note that we have more than one showcase on this day and timings are tight so all showcases must start on time. We have tried to make sure siblings are in the same showcase however there may be some instances where this hasn’t been possible. Thank you again for your cooperation and support with this.
Refreshments will be provided in the hub so please help yourselves.
