Sarah Barrett

Sarah Barrett
Sarah has been the Principal of HSOD for almost 35 years and is now Partners with her daughter Lucy. She holds a long list of qualifications including; Licenciate Ballet, Fellow Tap, Fellow Modern, Associate Freestyle, Diploma in Contemporary Dance and Diploma and Gymnastic dance. You will see Sarah teaching within all the mixed classes throughout the school and is the safeguarding officer. She is also a qualified examiner and goes out to other schools, like ours, and examines the children for their exams.

Lucy Barrett
Lucy has taught at HSOD for over 15 years and has recently become a Partner in the dance school. She gained her first teaching qualification over 14 years ago and since has gained Fellowship Tap, Fellowship Modern, Associate Street Dance, Associate Ballet, Diploma in Gymnastic Dance and Diploma in Contemporary Dance. You will see her teaching within all the classes available at the school and she works full time in the office. Lucy is very excited to share that she has also recently been appointed as a probationary examiner for the N.A.T.D

Megan Anderson
Megan has been dancing with HSOD since she was 3 and has gained her associate in street dance. She no longer dances within the school but continues to be a member of staff, teaching on Saturdays with all ages. Megan is a great Mentor to all the younger students with class work and leading roles/character work.
Neve Benson

Neve Benson
Neve is a teacher and has gained her associate tap, modern and street dance qualifications. In 2024 Neve was awarded the Bursary award by the N.A.T.D for gaining the highest theatrical associate exam result in the country. She is currently studying for her licentiate tap as she continues to gain further qualifications. She teaches mixed discipline lessons on a Saturday and a Monday and also teaches street dance classes on a Wednesday along side Lucy. Neve runs the adult tap class on a Monday evening and also helps with some of the admin work.
Isabella Chenery
Gymnastic Coach and Teaching Assistant
Isabella Chenery
Isabella danced with HSOD for almost 14 years. She trained outside of HSOD in gymnastics for over 10 years and has been a huge asset regarding HSOD's success at introducing the new gymnastic dance syllabus. Isabella no longer dances at the school but continues as a member of staff teaching all day on a Saturday to all ages.
